Introduction to the groups

Here you will find a description on all the different groups of people that are in this world. And as a young adventure as yourself, you may choose one to join. But choose wisely young adventure, because you will never know what the future may bring!

Sisters of the Light:

The Sisters of the Light is a group of women who are dedicated to serving the Creator and doing his bidding in all things. Each Sister is a sorceress of some skill and have learned to use their gift for the good of man kind. The calling of the Sisters is to help train young wizards to use their gift.

Sisters of the Dark:

The Sisters of the Dark is a covert group of sorceresses, sworn to serve the Keeper of the underworld, who secretly lived among the Sisters of the Light pretending to serve the Creator. In return for their loyalty, the Keeper granted them greatly increased powers. The Keeper was able to lure many Sisters to join him by giving them promises of immortality and power.

First Wizard:

First Wizard is the title given to the wizard with the ability to pass all the tests to become a member of the First Order and to have more power than any other member of that class. He is the most senior-ranking wizard and has the authority to order any other wizard. A wizard of the First Order is the highest of this order, and are born with the gift. Only few are born every 100 years, and only 4 has been born in the last 100 years.

Wizard:

Wizards use the world and the elements around them to invoke magic. Additive magic allows them to enhance, add to, manipulate, or multiply something or some effect to create otherwise impossible phenomena. While Subtractive allows them to remove something from existence by sending it to the underworld. The most commonly recognized power of wizards is wizard's fire, a powerful, continuous blast of fire issuing from the wizard's hand.

Confessor:

Confessors is an order of women first created during the Great War as a means of ascertaining the truth beyond doubt. Created by Wizard Merrit, the first Confessor was Magda Searus. The magic of the Confessors destroyed the person touched by their power; in the sense that such a person would lose their sense of self, and would submit their lives to the Confessor.
The Confessors were soon instigated as the rulers of the Midlands, with their leader, the Mother Confessor, acting as the First Chair of the Central Council.
In the last 1000 years Male confessors has been able to live, without getting killed at birth. Their powers has been restricted by a powerful spell, and so they are able to live.

Listener:

A Listener is a person who can listen to other people's thoughts, but the last known listener was Renn. But it has been said in the prophecy that 3 listeners has been born in the last 50 years.

Sorceress:

A sorceress is a very formidable gifted woman. Though usually less powerful than their male counterparts, wizards, exceptionally powerful sorceresses were capable of surpassing some wizards.
Though less than a wizard, a sorceress was capable of accomplishing extraordinary feats. A sorceress used the world and elements around her and changed it with her gift. Sorceresses were said to speak in riddles that even wizards found trying.

Witch Woman:

A witch woman is a powerfully gifted woman, more rare than both wizards and sorceresses. Witch women are known for their ability to ensnare the minds of those they encounter, and for their unusual affinity to the magic of visions and prophecy. They are the female counterpart of prophets, gifted men with the ability to receive prophecy. According to prophecy only 2 witch women has been born within the last 50 years.

Mord-Sith:

The Mord-Sith is an elite group of women warriors from D'Hara. They were created to defend the master of D'Hara, Lord Rahl, from creatures and people with magic. Mord-Sith believe that it is their sole purpose in life and in death to serve the Lord Rahl unconditionally, and in every way; their devotion is unparalleled.
In the last 1000 years Mord-Sith has kept them to themselves. No one really knows how many they are, or what they are up to. After Lord Rahl's dead they crowned a Head Mistress, and she is the one controlling the Moth-Siths.

Pristinely Ungifted:

Pristinely ungifted people are those who are completely immune to additive magic. This is because they were born without a single trace of the gift, unlike most people, who are born with a tiny fraction.
Often referred to as "Pillars of Creation" or "Holes in the World", the pristinely ungifted are unharmed and unseen by the gift. Additive Magic does not affect them in any way, though Subtractive Magic, being the power of death affects them the same as it does an ordinary person.
Though Additive Magic can not directly harm someone who is pristinely ungifted, it can harm them indirectly. A bolt of lightning, conjured by a sorceress, will in itself not injure the pristinely ungifted, but shards of rock sent flying by the conjured bolt would still be capable of wounding them.
According to the Prophecy 3 pristinely ungifted has been born within the last 100 years.
